Trained German shepherd

Introduction

You just bought a German shepherd to your home and want him to train. Then we are here for you, we will help in converting your pup in a pal.  Your pup needs a lot of adjustment in the initial phase of training because this is the first time for him to be separated from his brother, mother, and sister. However, German shepherd pups are easily adjusted to their new family, unlike others. Training a pup is not like making him ready as a police or military dog but training your pup is like you are trying to communicate with him through hand signs and verbal words. Your hand signs will help your pup to become obedient and speak your language. In this article, we will explain you two main training tips for your German shepherd pup.

1)    You should become an alpha leader
2)    Crate training for your German shepherd

You should become an alpha leader

The initial step of your German shepherd training should start with the natural evolution of your German shepherd. You have to choose someone from your family to become an alpha leader for a German shepherd. You have to do this immediately so, that the alpha leader can start giving instructions to your pup. This is very important for your pup to choose an alpha leader because he will do everything as per his choice and which is not good for your house. You should have a quality or you have to find a quality before choosing an alpha leader that is, he should have calm confidence and he should be strong with his demands so that your pup should display proper behavior all the times.  To make him as a trained German shepherd you do not need to shout or yell on him, if you yell on him this will leads to having fear on him. Due to this your pup becomes disobedience and starts self-defending. So, you have to be calm make your pup as a trained German shepherd.

Crate training for your German shepherd

Many pet owners think that putting your dog in a crate is harmful to them but this is not true. A German shepherd is usually a den animal and that’s why they choose to stay in a safe and small environment to take rest and sleep.  You can easily notice that your German shepherd prefer to stay in cozy places such as hiding under the table, providing him a crate with his favorite toy along with a soft blanket is very suitable for him to rest and sleep.  Crate training is very easy you just need to put a blanket with his favorite toy inside the crate and then let him enter. Once he entered in the crate close the door and let him inside for 10 to 15 minutes. In the starting, he may bark or cry but let him inside the crate and once he completed his time and takes him out with a surprise treat as an award for him. After 1 or 2 hours place him back in the crate and repeat the same process in a day. In this way, you can make your dog as a trained German shepherd. This method will help to learn how to understand and obey your owner.
Note: Do not leave your dog in the crate for more than 20 minutes and if your pup is only 2 months or younger than that he will choose to stay in the crate for 3 hours at a time.
